As a youth, Heath was passionate about basketball and received a scholarship to the University of Denver due to his basketball skills.

Livelihood

Before matching Arnold Schwarzenegger at Mr. Olympia, Phil Heath attended Rainier Beach High School in Seattle, Washington.

Heath played shooting guard for the university’s basketball team, and he helped his team win the state title in 1998.
