During his Pro Day workout in 2001, Vick ran the 40-yard dash in just 4.33 seconds, the fastest ever by an NFL quarterback.

Atlanta Falcons
Michael Vick made his NFL debut in September 2001 against the San Francisco 49ers, but saw limited usage.
Soon after, on September 23, he caught his first pass to wide receiver Tony Martin and scored his first touchdown.
His first start came against the Dallas Cowboys, and he scored 234 of the Falcons’ 255 total points in the season’s final game.
Vick achieved several single-game career highs the following season, including pass attempts, passing yards, and completed passes.
Vick also led the Falcons to an unexpected win over the Packers and was named to the Pro Bowl for the first time.
Unfortunately, before the start of the 2003 season, Vick broke his fibula in a preseason game.
This forced him to sit out the first 11 games, and he returned in Week 13 to record the third-most rushing yards in NFL history.
Following the 2004 season, Vick was named to the Pro Bowl for the second time and finished second in NFL MVP voting.

After Donovan McNabb moved to the Redskins, Vick was made the Eagles’ starting quarterback in 2010, and was named NFC Offensive Player of the Week.
He played in his fourth Pro Bowl and finished second to Tom Brady in NFL MVP voting.
In 2014, Vick signed a one-year contract with the New York Jets and moved to the Pittsburgh Steelers in 2015.
However, his signing faced strong backlash from animal rights groups, and following a hamstring injury, Vick announced his retirement in February 2017.

In 2018, he was hired as the offensive coordinator for the Atlanta Legends but was later removed from the position to serve as a consultant for the team.

Favorite quotes from Michael Vick
“My love for football began when I was seven years old. I would spend time with my grandmother, Caletha Vick. I didn’t know anything about the game until one Sunday afternoon she turned on the TV because the Redskins were playing. They were my Uncle Casey’s favorite team—and my grandmother’s favorite too. After watching the games with her, I became obsessed with the game.” – Michael Vick
“The first day I walked into the jail and they closed the door, I knew how big the decision I made was, how bad of a decision I made and what I allowed to happen to the animals. And, you know, the sadness and the guilt I felt was indescribable. And that’s why I cried many nights.” – Michael Vick
“Whatever offense you put me in, when things get bad, I’m going to get out of the pocket and move … West Coast, East Coast. It doesn’t matter. I’m going to go make things happen if that’s what I have to do.” – Michael Vick
“It’s good to have critics because that’s what motivates you and helps you take your game to another level, they talked about Michael Jordan and said he didn’t have a jump shot. Do they say the same thing about me? I can’t throw a football and all that. You can say whatever you want about me. It just motivates me to try harder.” – Michael Vick
“What I did, you know, being away from my family, disappointing so many people. I let myself down, not getting on the football field, being in jail, in jail, in jail, writing letters home, you know. That wasn’t my life.” – Michael Vick
