The Disappearance of Dr. Michael Mosley
Dr Mosley went for a walk on the Greek island of Symi and did not return. He was last seen walking on St Nicholas Beach. Greek police suspect he may have “fallen from a height” during the walk. Local authorities are tracing his route to find him, but have had no success so far.

A search and rescue team from Athens joined the local team to help find Dr. Mosley. They are using drones and other equipment to aid in the search. A community Facebook group on Symi shared a photo of Dr. Mosley. In the photo, he is wearing a blue polo shirt, a hat and sunglasses. The post seeks any information on his whereabouts.
The post reads: “Have you seen this man? He left to go back from St Nick’s at about 13.30 and has not made it home. His friends are worried as it has been 6 hours since they have seen him. His name is Dr Mike Mosley and he is a familiar face to many British people as he appears on the BBC. The police and coastguard have been informed. The island’s rescue team EMAK is also involved.”
Claire Bailey alerts the authorities
Dr. Mosley’s wife, Claire Bailey, informed the police that her husband had not returned by 7:30 p.m. She was very worried about him. Claire and Michael have four children: three sons and a daughter. Their sons are Dan, Alex, and Jack, and their daughter is Kate.

A senior Greek official in charge of search and rescue operations in the southern Aegean said “no stone would be left unturned” to find Dr Mosley. The official told The Sun: “Since this morning we have deployed all available forces on the island and we have asked for specially trained dogs and even a helicopter from Athens to be brought in for back-up. No stone will be left unturned. Symi is a small island; he cannot just disappear.”

Dr Mosley has previously spoken very fondly about his daughter Kate. In an interview with the Sydney Morning Herald he said, “Our daughter Kate is just like her mother – friendly and very likeable.”
